I am just getting over it and my husband just got it, but we didn’t even go to WEG!!
We were in S. Calif. watching it on tv and the live feed.
Get well everyone!

Yup,
I have it too…but didn’t go to WEG except via computer.
I think its just a horrible “thing” going around since I got it at my barn where all are sick and non have been to WEG.
My building is at the KHP and a stomach bug and flu-like virus went through the office the second week of WEG. I have no idea where it came from, nor do I care, as I was one of the lucky ones that did not catch it! (Thanks to obsessive use of hand sanitizer.;))
O lord, Falsie, I do not live under a rock. Of course it wasn’t from overseas. Do we have a sarcasm icon?
Oh dear, this IS serious. In fact, my wallet is still quite pale and all of my little ones are limp and gasping for air. I call to them and rub their tummies “it’s okay little Visa, Mastercard, American Express … Mommy is here” But they have zero energy and flat out refuse to leave the house.
How long do you think till this blows over? I need those cute little insulated thing-a-ma-bobs for my new Dubarry’s soon.

I LOVE it!!!
You might need to put little sweaters on them to keep them warm, they could be a little chilly & that could be causing the problem
Was there watching for the second week of the WEG and had a groom and a rider fall sick with this stomach bug. One was just sick for a night or so, the other was projectile vomiting for three days. (We all decided she was preggers and razzed her about it, but not so much.) One of the on-grounds shuttle drivers said they were told to take anyone using the “f-word” (flu) immediately to the medical tent, where they’d be quarantined and kicked off the grounds! So we immediately decided it was food poisoning instead (the rider wasn’t done competing, after all).
I came home with the really sore throat others mentioned and had a few days of feeling miserable before it mellowed into a garden-variety cold. I feel lucky I avoided the alternative.
ok it was all my fault. I’m sorry. I came to the WEG on the first weekend and brought with me the little pre-school crud that my daughter gave me. I just had to share.

Is it ‘Feed A Fever and Starve A Cold’, or ‘Feed A Balance and Starve The Kids’?
I always get it confused. In the meantime I’ll just put a sweat sheet on my credit cards and feed them Bute until they’re better.
I did not get this bug, nor did my 3 friends. But, I dunno what’s in the air in KY just now, I did have terrible allergies, lots of sneezing and post nasal drip. Fortified w/over the counter stuff and kleenex I did just fine. Have not sneezed once since I got on the plan for home!

Feed the fever!
Give me an update on your cards, do they need an ER visit? That would cause a man down situation…errrr card down situation?
Mine are going to get used again this weekend…can’t let my discounts for my birthday go to waste…it would be a shame
I got sick on Thursday after being at the games for three days. I thought it was a bad burger but had chills along with the upset stomach etc. (I’ll spare you the details.) Luckily we didn’t have any event tickets that day and I could sleep it off. After we got home five days later my husband got sick. Guess I can’t blame the burger.
I’ve been sick with that sore throat thing for two weeks.
So has most of my college- in fact half of a class didn’t show up last week because of it.
None went to WEG. I haven’t run into any that has. I think it’s just going around.
Oh yes. It made the rounds. Bound to happen with so many people coming together all at once. The dust didn’t help either.
And the lack of sleep.
There is def. a bug going around. Nothing to do with WEG, but my son and his family had something like that all that weekend… and they are in Montreal, Qc. He tried to bring it to Ontario, but “sadly” we did not catch it and sent it back with him.
Sorry windfield, I guess your comment caught me on a bad day!!
Lexington is the allergy capital of the world…just ask anyone with allergies who lives here!
You are all experiencing something we call the “Kentucky crud.” a little souvenir from ky. Hope you all feel better soon!

Nothing a few (dozen) pints of Kentucky Ale wouldn’t cure. Gosh that stuff is good!
I caught it through COTH!
And I spoke too soon… feeling like poop now.
