Anyone else having issues with their Spalding Fly Predators this year?

My first order arrived at the end of April/early May. After 2 weeks, they still hadn’t hatched, and this was with being inside the first week cause it was a bit cool. But I find they get a bit stinky after a few days, so I’m not a fan of them being in the house for long. So I called Spalding. And called. And called. I couldn’t get a live person, they said they were too busy and to leave a message. I finally did. And did. And did, And no one called back. I called again and finally got a live person and she said they would send out a new batch, and my next batch was also enroute. So now, I’m sitting on 2 orders, one I’ve had for a week. Still hasn’t hatched. And the replacement order came a couple days after, they haven’t hatched yet either. Anyone else out there having issues, or is it just me and some bad luck?

all of our shipments this year have been Very reluctant to hatch, we start getting them in with a standard shipments in February then went to double in March.

Mine have also been slooooow to hatch, but do eventually get there.

Mine have been slow to hatch. The last batch I used a heating pad and they hatched within 2 days.

Got my first batch a few weeks ago and they also took longer than normal to hatch.

My first shipment of the year arrived in the mail last Tuesday (the 28th) and just now today I have counted about 10 or so that have hatched. And they’ve been in the house the whole time. I’m aggravated because I have flies going on now despite thinking I had the timing right. I’ll have to try a heating pad.

My first shipment was in late April and nothing hatched after 2+ weeks. I contacted Spalding via the website and had an email response within a day, where they asked if I wanted a replacement shipment or refund. Asked for replacement and that shipped and arrived within 2 days. Very responsive customer service, which is unusual these days. But I’m still waiting on the replacement batch to hatch now as well… Our original batch never did do anything.

When do you schedule your first shipment?

I’m in WV and start early March. It’s been cool here and cold when they shipped. Debating on starting later next year but I have almost zero flies atm.

I’ve had 3 shipments so far; the first was slow to hatch. The second was hatched and ready to release when it arrived but we were in a heat wave. The third was hatching slow, then I stuck the bag in the garage where it’s warmer and it was ready in 24 hours.

I have two shipments so far and neither have hatched. I’ll have to try a heat pad to see if I can get anything going. I’m in a pretty mild climate so it’s not like it’s been super cold.

I had a couple packages not hatch - I did reach out and they did send more but little too late as it seems most hatched in the week between shipments arriving.
