oh yes.
Oh yes here too! We have a Quinar-Jupiter foal due soon, but still waiting for the milk test strips to tell us more precisely when…
Yes, my Grafenstolz x Heraldik foal, I’m surfe you can imagine patience is not not my strong suit on this one.
Lotty was bred July 20 or 22. Two years ago she went 373 days. She is JUST starting to build a bag.
We will install the monitoring equiptment this weekend.
I hope she doesn’t wait till Aug.
She is by the Connemara stallion Hideaway’s Erin Go Bragh and is a full sister to Blackpoints Tilly Go Bragh. She was bred to Bridon Belfrey RID
I now have my Ridley and Popeye foals. The Popeye foal arrived last night, a bay filly.
Now just waiting on one, and she is pretty ready.
Waiting no more. Maiden had her colt a week early. Stealth foaler, just like her mother. Not much of a bag, no waxing, no outward signs of imminent foaling.
Breeding farm owner was out in the barn with a sick foal. 2:00 a.m. all’s quiet, she is back at 3:00 a.m. and there’s a colt in my mare’s stall.
Mother and son doing well!
My mare isn’t due until the 28th of July, so I’m still waiting.
Congrats to all who’s late foals have arrived!!! I am jealous!
Still waiting on Bel Etice. She started dripping milk at about 10pm last night. I was soooo excited, at last!! She is out napping under her tree now, still dripping. I am going to head out and give her a good scrub and stand her downhill It just doesn’t look like the foal has turned yet, maybe if we give it a bit more room!
He is here at last!!! Bel Etrice delivered a handsome, healthy Rubignon colt at 12:30am, WHEW! I will post photos on the 2010 foal thread. The longer I waited for this guy, the more I thought he was going to be born with two heads, LOL!! Lack of sleep makes ya nuts
Hope everyone else waiting has such an easy delivery and a wonderful foal!!
Congratulations railmom! What a long wait (and tough of your pocket book too with midnight shopping sprees!)
I don’t like any foals before May and I’ve had them born as late as mid-August. We are WAAAAYYYY up North, and I like plenty of turn-out for my foals, so I really can’t count on good weather prior to that time.
I only have 2 foal for this year. The first was born May 20th.
The second is due July 7th; although she may go abit early – she is HUGE!
That foal is going to be very special – it will be the last foal by my cremello Akhal Teke stallion, “Kinor,” who I lost last summer due to a pasture accident.
It will also be my only Akhal Teke foal by him (he mainly bred Arabs) – I leased the mare especially for that purpose.
Color is guaranteed to be buckskin (mare is bay); I’m hoping for a filly…but mainly I’m just hoping for healthy w/straight legs!
Our last mare, Runaway Love xx (Pursuit of Love - Kris), gave us a beautiful filly foal on Father’s Day night- 11 PM. Everyone was there, Makoto, me, Monica, the working student, Jonathan. Luckily, it was a very easy birth! We told Jonathan that he had to write a My Summer Vacation essay when he returned to Brown University in the fall.
We named her Filigree (Gigi for short) because she seems much daintier than our usual WB fillies! ( Her sire is as yet unknown for certain, although we expect that it is Staging Post XX (Pleasant Colony-Sadler’s Wells). Her scarce- in-NA TB sporthorse performance genes and excellent conformation are such that she is a keeper for us.
That’s a wrap for 2010 as far as foals are concerned.
We’re still waiting and watching. Our mare is now 3 weeks overdue and is thoroughly enjoying just being pregnant. UGH!
Congrats on the foals that have arrived! Railmom I saw the pics of your gorgeous boy on ewarmbloods. He looks super. I love your mare.
Our Wow delivered a VERY big and leggy Quaterback boy last Thursday night. He was born a bit contracted but things are sorting themselves out well now. He is almost a twin of last years full brother but with even more white…four whites( one all the way up to the stifle!), splashes on belly, big wide blaze, dots on the side of his nose. I am sure he will have the really flaxen mane and tail too. I just love these Quaterbacks!
Grande Desire 2010 Pa Broodmare Champion is close to delivering Her full sisters Grand Affair & Grande Divna had their foals. Now for mine!!!
Grande Desire aka Momma Bunny is in fo to Romantic Star. She took at third @ Devon this year a big award for an in foal 14 yr old mare.
Stuck in an airport or I would post a pic. FB Joni Watt to see her & her '09 filly Devon winner. Couture du Jour
Hopin to have the foal this weekend.
I’m so jealous of everyone that has foals on the ground now! But congrats! I’m hoping to join the ranks soon!
