Anyone ever seen anything like this? (skin issue)

this is on my new warmblood, never seen anything like this

it might be worth noting that he’s new to the United States and I’m not sure if the summer has anything to do with what’s going on although this looks more like bug bites. He was imported from Estonia in January and obviously it’s June so it’s much hotter here than it ever is in eastern europe

if you look, these sores they look like just hives or bumps, but upon further inspection, they are open sores. There is no pus or anything;

the one on his tummy is the biggest one. not sure if this warrants a vet call or what. i haven’t Been putting his fly sheet on for turnout as I’ve been trying to see how he acclimates to the summer here and a lot of the time he’s been going out damp and don’t want the fly sheet on him when he’s damp

The last one looks like a sarcoid.

Agreed, lots of bug bites (which normally go away IME), the last one, not a bug bite I’ve ever seen and might take a further look.

None of those look like bug bites to me. It looks like she’s got a few more on her leg, in that first pic. I’d say either a fungal or bacterial infection.

I had a horse with sporotrichosis - an infection of the skin caused by a fungus. It looked a bit like that, took a while to diagnose, but was cured with a long, expensive round of antifungal. Yay!

Looks like some type of fungus. The one on the stomach looks like a sarcoid.
