I have one for my jumping saddle and love it. I tried one for my western saddle and didn’t love it. The pad slipped under the saddle, which was the problem I was trying to solve. The suede against the sheepskin was too slippery, go figure. I have seen other people riding in them so they must work for some…
I have one of each, English and Western, and have been pleased with both. I haven’t had the slippage problem Pocket Pony had with suede on sheepskin. I use the thin felt pad between the pad and the horse, and have used a single Navajo as a liner a time or two, as well.
