Anyone have experience with Conte della Caccia, Canturo or Corrado I?

Hello I have a mare will some bucking/ poor work ethic issues and am wondering if anyone else have had these issues with the stallion Conte della Caccia or his sire Canturo or damsire Corrado I?

The mare is out of the spectacular broodmare Sunshine (Silvio x Dynamo x Akzent II) who competed up to 1.50m and has the sweetest nature on the entire planet. She has had 6 other foals and 2 grandchildren… 4 babies and 2 grandbabies I have had the honor of starting myself so I know what her babies are usually like. Not a single one of these have ever had this issue which is why I think it may stem from the sire side.

Conte has also since been gelded which begs the question as to why?

I am also asking this question because I do like the stallion Canturo and may like to breed Sunshine or one of her other daughters to him… however if rideability is an issue with him I will steer clear!

No experience with Conte, but I bred two by the Canturo son Crespo and they are both jumping under saddle and fun rides. One has Corrado I very close on the damside. He’s a sweetheart and showing talent.

I have several by a Corrado I son out of different marelines and they are some of my favorites. My experience is limited to around 10 foals with these lines, so maybe I’ve just been lucky. Will be interested to hear more opinions.

Thank you!! I’d say 10 foals is still a decent group to gain knowledge from  I’m interested to hear more as well!

We have Corrado I-Cognac mare and a Darco-Corrado I mare, neither buck undersaddle.

The older mare did PSG Intermediare and doesn’t buck. I don’t know if any of her foals really bucked. Her son Luienne Q (Luidam) is competing Foxhunter in UK and ready to move up the 7 year olds - he’s reputed to be a very easy stallion. https://www.hippomundo.com/pedigree/performance/463850

The greenbean had 30 days undersaddle then 4 months off - no bucking even with jumps https://www.hippomundo.com/pedigree/performance/589077

No idea if that’s helpful.

Any information is helpful thank you!

Changes the attitude. Super jumper. Multiple top offspring. Very Scopey. Reasonable Rates
