Anyone have experience with the brand ELT by Waldhausen?

I’m looking at some jackets (not show, just soft shell/everyday) and some breeches by ELT/Waldhausen and I haven’t seen many reviews about the company. Anyone have any experience with their products? I can’t actually go and try on any, just have to order online

Thanks!

My favorite show pad was Waldhausen. Great quality, really pretty quilting. I had one in black and one in white. Mice ate the white one this past winter (ugh gross) and I was dismayed to find that they don’t make that type anymore. sobs

I’ve got several pairs of ELT breeches. Thicker fabric than, say, Pikeur, but they’ve held up well over lots (and lots, and lots) of washes. IME sizing runs large.

I agree, thats my experience as well. I believe ELT is the cheaper brand of Waldhausen.

I’ve also been pleased with how my ELT breeches have held up; I’d buy them again. I agree that the sizing is generous, but maybe not enough to actually go down a size (unless in-between sizes, perhaps).

LOVE my Waldhausen combo wraps. They’re my favourite polo wraps!

I had a pair of the breeches but I didn’t like the fabric (too thick). So I wore them once and eventually sold them.

I have a couple of ELT jackets that I really like. One is a rain coat that migrated from “good” to “barn” and is still in use after probably 5 years or so. Funny that everyone said the breeches run large as I felt the jackets ran small! But I’ve not tried the breeches.

I have an ELT coat that I LOVE. I live in it. I was thinking about ordering a second because I love it so much, and was disappointed that it’s been discontinued. The coat seems to run true to size, and being tall I love that the sleeves seem to be cut longer and work well on my monkey arms. =)

I bought a pair of ELT breeches on sale and I LOVE them. They have held up really well, and are really comfy. Look nice too.

Thank you everyone for your input!! I’m happy to hear that the products seem to last a while as I’m not very nice to my clothing (I try, I swear). I think as far as the material being thicker, that is great for me; I wear jeans riding quite often.

I’ll also keep in mind the sizing for the breeches. Are they a little big everywhere or at the waist or hips?

Aw I’m sorry! I had mice eat the crown of my bridle last year so I feel your pain!

I have an ELT jacket that I love and has held up!
