Anyone have success stories using IRAP procedure?

Long story short … WP performance gelding got hock and coffin joint injections last April. Front right coffin joint got infected but of course we sat on it for 30 days thinking it might be an abscess (I won’t go there…)
May 4th he had surgery to save his life as the infection was in his cartilage and bone. MRI also showed collateral ligament tear.
2 months stall rest and then outdoor pen for a few hours a day. By September he had full turn out. When we
Put the guy on a longe line and he head bobs at the trot. Sometimes bobs at the walk in the pasture still 10 months out.
He is on equioxx daily and pentosan injections and now the vet says that either another cortisone injection or a procedure called IRAP is probably all that’s left to try.
Any suggestions/successes? My daughter will be a senior next year and sure would love to show her guy one more year!!! I will never give cortisone injections again!!!

Might get more hits to this on the Horse Care forum
