My fiance has my dog trained and registered as his PTSD service dog. His therapist recommended it and wrote a letter to one of the organizations that will “register” your dog. She has laminated cards that we call her “credentials” that clip on to her vest. She wears the vest because she associates it as working when we go out into public
The one regular SD I see here is a huge lab cross, because that’s what his human pal needs. He’s a wonderful dog, and highly trained. There are a couple of others around here too, and they are great dogs, and I suspect may be lab crosses also. I would probably take a second look at a dog without a vest, in a grocery store too. That’s because I like dogs, and love the SD’s who help so many people. It’s a matter of curiousity, and interest in the subject.
