Anyone know of nice a plain bridle (no fancy stitching)?

I have a perfectly fine CWD bridle that is slightly annoying because the keepers are stretched out. It’s not a big deal.

My schooling bridle doubles as a dressage bridle, but it’s old and gluey and stiff.

i really want to buy a new bridle. I think my horse would look handsome in a wide noseband bridle. Or a plain, no fancy stitching bridle that would good with the dressage saddle. Doesn’t need a flash, but a padded noseband would be nice.

Any ideas?

Bobby’s makes a nice one:

What’s your budget? Lots of nice ones out there…

What about something like this:

My friend has one and it is gorgeous.

For a bridle without fancy stitching my preference is Edgewood, I loved mine. I know a lot of people complain about stretching but I never had a problem, also they offer so many options, padded, unpadded, wide noseband, so I think you could find exactly what you want.

I had a beautiful CWD and for what they cost I would be asking CWD to give you new keepers, free!

Love my Legacy from Wayne Rasmussen - http://thecountrysaddler.com/legacybridles.html - and it’s as gorgeous now as it was 8-9 years ago when I bought it.

Ooh, yum.

I was hoping to get something for around $200.

Saskatoonian, those bridles look gorgeous. Too gorgeous!

I hate budgets! But am a pro at them, out of necessity. So since you’re not in an emergency situation, I’d stalk Premier Tack Outlet and see what comes up. I got a gorgeous KL Select bridle from her a while ago for a really reasonable price.

This page has several plain bridles for under/around $200:

I second BAC! Aside from my tiny ponies bridle, all of my horses bridles are Edgewood. So gorgeous and live a very long life!

I am writing to gloat… I just bought one, just what I was looking for too, plain, wide and classy. It was from a tack sale. It was custom made in England. I paid $50 for it. It’s lovely, and I’m happy. I couldn’t find anything I liked in tack stores, nothing but crap offered there.
