Anyone know this SoCal horse?

I’m looking for the name that this horse was shown under. For a recap of my search so far, please see the thread on the H/J forum.

TL/DR 2009 17.2 Hannoverian gelding Gaijin FR was imported in 2017 and was never registered with USEF under that name or with his microchip number. My trainer bought him out of a goat pasture where he had been living and he is now a school horse.

He was so fancy back in the day, it seems impossible that he was not shown, but might have been registered under a different name—but what? Before his “retirement” his junior owner boarded at an eventing barn in Malibu. This is a still from a video taken at that facility. Look familiar?

My trainer has no interest in contacting the previous owner, but would just like to see what he’s done.

He’s a special guy. The German rider in his videos is Joachim Winter, director of the Hannoverian state stud. He competed Gaijin in his free time.

Its always such a mystery how these nice horses end up in such sketchy situations.

Are you on fb? You should post in the SoCal horse groups, someone will know this horses story.

Good luck!

You might also network out to dressage trainers as well. May have shown in local dressage as well

When you find out his story, please report back. I saw your comments on the other thread and got curious. He looks like a lovely boy.
