I know it’s not a huge trail but has anyone ridden it? I think it just goes around the park.
Haven’t ridden it but live 2 miles away, I’ve seen horses around there, looks like they just go around the outside of the park. Do you have a specific question about it?
Thanks! Just wondered what it was like in general, how long of a ride - can’t be that long but looked nice for a quick jaunt when I don’t have hours to ride or trailer somewhere.
I’ve ridden there several times and like it because it’s close with easy parking, the trail is well maintained, you don’t have to be concerned about dogs & bikes, and you can feel comfortable if you are a woman riding alone. There are hills of varying degrees so it’s a nice for getting your horse in shape for the longer rides later on. Takes about 45 - 60 minutes going at a walk. Most is grass – so you can do it barefoot – except for a small patch of gravel about half way around.
If, after parking your trailer, you start the trail by heading left, you will be going up on the highest hill. Obviously, if you go right, you’ll be going down on that same hill. This is near a gazebo directly across from the trailer parking and near the swimming pool. You might want to zig-zag going down that hill.
This might not be important to some riders, but in the early spring, we deal with stifles that need to be coached back into shape so tend to climb up hills better than down.
Hope this helps!
