Just bought one & it’s very comfortable. Anyone shown in theirs w/visor ??
We use them, and really like them, but didn’t get the one with the visor. To me, just seemed one extra ‘thing;’ and in a tack shop isn’t really a great place to test the visor to see if it would be desirable. My daughter, who is very sun sensitive considered the visor, but also decided against.
I’ve seen people doing it, although mine is visor less as well. I feel like its the same as wearing sunglasses in the show ring.
I have had one for 2 years now and show with the sunshield. My eyes are just too sensitive to the bright footings being used at the shows now. And I LOVE IT! Not having to keep up with one more thing namely appropriate sunglasses, is key for me. No one has even mentioned it to me, ie: looking odd, etc. At home I ride out quite a bit so going in and out of the woods is simplified by just pushing it up. No more trying to stash the glasses in my belt or… So there’s my testimonial! Other plusses are that the helmet fits me great and the liner is easy in/out for washing.
I’ve also shown in mine and it is invaluable when warm-up is outside and show is inside (or vice versa). No squinting and headaches or trying to deal with sunglasses. Most people don’t even realize it is a visor rather than normal sunglasses. Absolutely love mine!
I school in mine and did use it at a show (visor up). When I ribboned, all I heard from everyone in the stands was “put the glasses down, put them down!” Annndddd when I did, you couldn’t hear anything but hysterical laughter. I live in a small equestrian world if you couldn’t tell
