Anyone successfully price match horseloverz.com???

I just tried and they denied it for reasons that don’t even apply. Has anyone had success? Are they even liked as a company?

I have had very poor customer service experiences with them so I’m not surprised. They sent me half chaps in brown when I ordered black, then were reluctant to provide a full refund (black was out of stock so no exchange possible). I eventually fought it out but it did not leave a good taste in my mouth and I won’t shop there again. I’d rather pay more and be sure I know what I’m getting, and that if there’s a mistake it will be handled appropriately.

Well that is good to know.

I tried it once. They denied it on the grounds it was not the same product. It was. I won’t buy from them.

They have good dollar days sales. I get halters and lead ropes from them, I buy in bulk maybe once a year. You can find coupons sometimes, which is good as their shipping charges are steep. But I love my five dollar halter with fuzzies velcroed on, its the only halter I found that stops rubs from constant wear with a grazing muzzle. I go through about two a season so its worth it for me.

I have. They do deny some, but generally are pretty good. I do about two big orders a year, and have gotten some amazing deals.

They have the best prices on glucosamine, msm, vitamin E and selenium. I just got a pair of $20 full seated white breeches, and $25 full seat breeches that are now my favorites. I got a great half off a Wintec Pro once. They’re great for thigns like bridle parts and such–I’ve gotten a bunch of things bridle pieces and bits for well under $10, leg straps for blankets, hooks and snaps, etc. They always give me free shipping and usually do on anything over $75.

I really like them. They are my go to when I’m looking for something.

I have much better success when I place a phone order. Online orders have been disappointing.

How did you get free shipping at $75. When I called 2 weeks ago they told me $129.
Of course I ordered paddock boots in 8.5. I am a size 8.5 in everything both riding and street shoes. If anything some 8.5s can be a bit loose at the heel in street shoes.
I hesitated ordering from horseloverz because of issues in the past and their reputation for being difficult to do returns. But the price was better than anywhere else even after tax and shipping. Not that it is their fault but don’t you know those darn Dublin paddock boots are too small. They fit like an 8. They are just a little tight but too short. I briefly considered keeping them and hoping they stretch. Put them on a second time. Nope no way will they stretch enough to ever be comfortable.
Now I don’t know if I want to return for a refund or try to exchange for 9s. My luck the 9s won’t work either and I will be out a lot of shipping fees. I was thinking they would be easier to do an exchange rather than a return.
I guess I am going back to Riding Warehouse or SmartPak for sized items.

“Price matching” is a marketing tactic that companies use to build customer trust, and to assure the customer that they wont find a lower price anywhere else. However, once you actually try to take them up on it, you’ll find that there are a ton of exclusions and restrictions. Basically, price matching is more for presentation rather than to benefit the customer. At the end of the day, I’ll always buy from the competition if there’s a lower price, unless it’s a locally owned store. If it’s locally owned, I don’t mind paying a bit more.

The fact that horseloverz wont bite the bullet and help out a customer is frustrating. Why not buy used, or from the place with a lower price?

I have price-matched a few items on Horseloverz. They were all approved the same day and I had no issues whatsoever.

They do generally ship very slow as most items are not in-stock but at external warehouse locations. Free shipping offers are usually sent a few times a year, but otherwise shipping is steep and not free over a certain purchase limit.

Just an FYI - if you log-on and put the items you are interested into your cart but do not check out, usually within 24-48 hours they will send you a “did you forget something” email with a $15 off coupon. I also stack coupon codes on their website too. If you are smart about it, you can get some really great deals. That is the only reason I put up with their slow shipping and sometimes poor customer service.

ETA - don’t buy brands you are not familiar with. Off brands are usually crap, in my experience, from HL.

Generally they have free shipping regularly. Awhile back, after another order, they labeled me a loyal customer, so now I always get free shipping over $75, which is never an issue for me! I can do that in supplements.

The returns are a pain. I don’t do that. The deals are so good, if they don’t fit, whatever. Of course, I do need to start selling some of the incredibly good deals I’ve gotten that don’t quite fit. I’m getting my own tack store. I have about size 8 feet , too, but really wide. I have more than a few pair of paddock boots from them. DO you need breeches? Size 32? A little small for me, but $25 for full seated breeches . . .

I work road shows for them (full disclosure)
i never had trouble with price matches before working there though. I;d call, the CSR girls are super sweet. You can pm me if you want and i can mention it, but i don’t have anything to do with the website

Funny to have read on here (on multiple threads) that people have had a bad time with horseloverz not sending packages, not refunding on returns, etc. Maybe things have changed since I ordered there last (maybe a year or so?) they were always awesome. A few years ago when I was shopping for a new saddle I actually got them to price match to something on ebay (obviously listing was for a new item), but it was still really nice since most places don’t consider ebay to be a legitimate source. By the time I added in free shipping, it was $40 cheaper.

I ordered some Lexol NF from them on Oct 16. Web site said it was in stock. Horsloverz was and probably still is offering the same product on ebay. As of yesterday they hadn’t shipped it. So I emailed customer service and was told that they had issued a refund to me on Oct 20 due to “inventory reasons.” Or something about inventory issues, which seemed to mean that they don’t have any of this item to ship. I checked PayPal, and no refund was issued. So I opened a PayPal dispute today and am prepared to do battle. Other people have been used and abused by Horseloverz over the years. This is the first trouble I’ve had ever with them, but it will be the last because I won’t order from them again.
