Anyone tried Dressage Rider Training 12-week program?

I have done, and enjoyed, the short yoga sessions Nicola from DressageRiderTraining.com has posted on You Tube I’m curious if anyone has tried her 12-week paid program and what your thoughts were.

thanks!

I get e-mail from them constantly but honestly the chance I’d come home from the barn exhausted, boot up the computer, and do calisthenics on the living room carpet, is about exactly zero.

If I were so inclined I have a whole file folder of stretch and strength routines, a yoga mat, various bits of equipment (I gave the excersize ball to the horse) that I could do and should do, but I don’t.

So no, not going to sign up for a YouTube session.

Think you can easily adapt plain old Pilates and Yoga and figure out a way to make yourself do it do it 3 times a week for less then 200…

It’s just a nicely marketed core workout. Just go online to youtube and get Yoga with Adrienne or other free ones.

I’d rather pay an in person trainer if I were going to spend money on exercise.

My Mum and I have both signed up to it after hearing good things.
Yes, we could find core exercises to do for free, but I rarely do that and I’m looking forward to having a structured program to work through - if I don’t have to exert any energy planning a workout, I’m more likely to turn on the laptop and do it!

I purchased the first 12-week program (DRT 1). I am an older rider (60+). The weekly rotation of core-yoga-rider fitness is perfect for me. The exercises activate, strengthen, and balance the muscles used in riding and I noticed benefits as early as the 2nd week in the program. The sessions are only 20 minutes and not too difficult. Nicola usually gives options to make things more or less challenging as you choose. She is very generous with her material and you can download and save the videos and supplemental materials for future use. It is fine to go at your own pace. Some weeks I don’t have time for 3 sessions but I just keep following the sequence. Right now I am rotating through the 12-week program for the second time. I am really pleased with the program and think it is an excellent value!

I LOVE Yoga with Adrienne!

I’ve used DRT 1 and been pleased. Even some of the way she phrases things have helped me. For instance, for years I’ve been told “shoulders back” or whatever variation of that. Nicola used “armpits down” and lightbulb moment.
