My boy is an overreacher and sometimes when we jump cross country he grabs a shoe. This product looks intriguing: http://www.supastuds.com/details_74.html
I know that on some old threads, PNWJumper has talked about using Shoe Secure and sang its praises quite strongly. I remember because it was one of those things that I wish had been available back when I had a chronic shoe puller that drove me and my farrier batty! Hopefully she will see this thread and chime in with an update on whether she still loves the product.
Says it’s only for turnout but I swear I saw someone usig them at some hunter shows recently - in the class. Looks like a great idea.
The manufacturer’s website has a lot more information than the first link.
You might also want to check out their facebook page where they mention making a model meant specifically for riding. I was looking into shoe secure when my horse was throwing 1 shoe a week.

That may have been these http://www.doversaddlery.com/italian-jumper-qrtr-bell-boot/p/X1-04254/
Actually Shoe Secure comes in 2 models, the turn out and riding model…and they come in colors! He has pulled shoes with bell boots on so I have no where to turn except these.
A friend got positive feed back on these from across the pond.
The cost is high but the $$ and aggravation of missing shoes is also high.
