Anyone using Equithrive Complete Joint?

My vet has suggested Resveratrol (sp?) a couple of times for my big guy with mild+ hock arthritis in full work. It’s pricey. Anyone use it or any of the other resveratrol supplements?

I use it all the time. I don’t find it pricey, I think it works out to about $60/month, which is less than Legend, and we’ve seen better results with Equithrive. I have a 20 y.o. Trakehner x gelding with a very difficult and chequered history who’s now completely sound and feeling wonderful since he’s been on Equithrive. I’ve got a couple of event horses and dressage horses on it, and they very clearly move better and feel better since we started it.

We have a 26 y.o. in the barn who can struggle with soundness on Equithrive. It is absolutely helping him.

I’ve fed the whole range: Cosequin ASU, Smartflex Ultimate, Cavalor Arti-Matrix, PP CJ, etc. My big gelding had ulcers this winter, so I pulled him off anything that could cause digestive upset - which includes a number of ingredients in joint supplements. I opted to put him back on Equithrive Original as it seemed to be the safest option GI wise (just resveratrol and HA). Too early to be sure, but so far I’m perfectly happy with it.

I am happy to see this post. I was wondering if this would work in place of Adequan. I can only order 4-5 vials of adequan to keep within their expire date; I give 5ml every 28 days. I have to plan my orders around the weather. I plan to talk to my vet in 3 weeks when I have her hocks done.

Ok, bit the bullet and bought a 10 pound bucket of the Equithrive Original and will give it a try.

A had a vet recommend it too. I’m using as a preventive measure. I use the original version

I use Equithrive original joint and have been impressed with it.

So we are 6 weeks into a loading dose. I think the loading dose is 2 weeks but if a little is good, a lots better, right! I didn’t really notice anything the first month but we just did a novice CT and bought an extra jumper round and he took it like a boss. Clear both rounds, I don’t think he even touched a rail. He seems more comfortable. I’m going to start him on what I call a generous maintenance dose. 4 scoops is loading dose, 2 is maintenance so I’m going to use 3 scoops. He’s a 17 hand solid boy.

Glad you’re having good results. My 19yo mare with a little arthritis is noticeably better on Equithrive Original. Didn’t feel any difference with Adequan. I have become the barn Equithrive acolyte

I am seeing a difference in my 17 yr old mare after starting Equithrive (she had just been on 10,000 mg MSM/10, 000 mg Glucosamine/Chondroitin oral supplements; high dose HA and Cetyl M did nothing for her when tried earlier). She works 5 days a week doing 2/3rd level dressage schooling and trails + conditioning. She has not had any joint or IM injections.

I saw a different by the 3rd-4th week of the loading dose. I now have her on a maintenance dose. She is more comfortable in her hind and hocks. The evidence to me is her comfort with hind hoof trimming and her warm-up time and readiness to sit and carry. I am still keeping her on the other joint supplements FWIW, since they work differently.

Of course, right now she is being fussy about eating her supplements (probably due to the Equithrive), but she ate it for 2 months no problem and showed a positive change. Given that she does these supplement strikes periodically, I’m hoping we can get back to normal soon!
