Anyone wear L.L. Bean boots?

I am from the land of LL Bean boots and have three pairs- one lace up with the shearling lining (in the chocolate brown swoooonnnn), and two pairs of the slip-ons, one with the shearling and one without. I highly suggest having all three- one slip-on for spring, summer and fall, one slip-on for late fall and winter, and the tall lace ups for the freakin’ cold days!!!

I did get my lace-ups for 30% off and had to wait 6 months to get them but it was so worth it! I won’t even go into the other LL Bean swag my husband and I have…

I have the shearling lined lace up bison hide boots and love them. I’d like a pair of shearling lined pull one but the last ones I saw the lining would come out when you took them off like an inside out sock. Have they fixed that?
Yes, mine have the shearling built into it. I wear them so much it is wearing out though. I am confident that if I say I’m not satisfied they would replace them but I don’t want to do that at this point.

Thanks! I might have to put a pair on my xmas list!

For those with discover cards you can use your points to get E certificates immediately … $80 for a $100 certificate, effectively getting another 20% off!

Yes, I am a big fan of this, and in fact I bought myself a pair of the really tall ones at what turned out to be a very nice price (and if you fudge the accounting, free, since I didn’t have to pay out any cash at all, just the Discover points). Stacking the two discounts this way gets you to 33% off

They seem to be going pretty quickly - the boot I bought had all the sizes the first time I refreshed the page but only extreme sizes by the time I made up my mind. Fortunately I have big feet.

So thanks for the heads up, OP. I’ve been thinking about these for years and I hope I love them.

If you take an 8 to an 8.5 I’ll send you two pairs with fantastic bottoms for free. One is navy, the other classic brown. You can save the money and return.
Thanks for the offer, but I’m a size 7 in Bean boots and they’re plenty roomy, so I don’t think even extra socks would make an 8/8.5 work for me. I hope someone here can take you up on your kind offer.

I decided to order the Moc, to which the discount did apply.

Those are fine for most of my needs, like walking through the wet grass in the morning to go feed and do the morning rounds.
I have these are just LOVE them. I wear them all the time we don’t have deep mud or snow, when I wear Bogs.

I have had my current pair for 6 years, and they are finally just about worn out (I live on a farm so they have gotten a LOT of use!). I already asked my mom for a new pair for Christmas (she always wants to know what to get me!)

I wear them up to when I have my horses saddled, too, and then put my paddock boots on. When I get off, I take off the bridle, loosen the girth, give horse a treat and then get my comfy mocs right back on! They are awesome.

I’m heading out to LL Bean on Sunday to try a pair of mocs. How roomy are they? My heels are quite narrow I think and I don’t want to feel I’m going to walk out of my shoes. Pricey, but I’ll only have to buy them once. Hopefully someone at the store will help me find the right size. Also, my feet aren’t very…thick? Like a low instep. My feet are swimming in most boots I try one so I hope the mocs will stay on me feet.

I love LL Bean stuff but these have what I call “bust your @ss” soles. Meaning, they don’t have enough tread to walk up or down a wet clay hill without busting your @ss.

These are my faves for comfort, value, warmth (without being hot), and traction… https://www.amazon.com/Kamik-Champlain-M-Mens-Champlain-Boot/dp/B00AZOC6GW?th=1&psc=1 Easy on/off is a plus too.

Pony baloney, I have wide middle feet and bony heels. I also have flat feet, like no instep. I am very comfy in mine. But they do come in a narrow size I think, if the regulars are too wide for you.

FYI, you can get the 20% off the tumbled lounger. Drops it just over 100.00. I put them in my cart and it automatically gave the discount. Happy shopping!

I have a pair of their snow boots from 2004 and one just got a crack in it last year. I repaired it and hope to get another 5-7 out of them.

I wear the heck out of them all winter: mud and snow.

Got my mocs today and am in love with them already. The store only carried the brown ones, which I kinda like more than the navy.

Does the leather part need any special care to keep it waterproof? Or can you use regular tack cleaning/conditioning stuff on it.

Not sure, I haven’t cleaned mine in 6 years. they still keep my feet dry as long as the wet isn’t over the moc line! If they start to leak I would put some Nikwax or similar product on the leather.

Wow they’ve gotten more expensive than when I last had them in the mid 80s

I have these. Waayy too lazy to lace up my boots.
I spent an hour trying on different boots in Freeport…these fit perfect. And no freakin laces…I love my zipper boots.

I have three pairs - dark brown unlined, all black shearing lined, and the signature tall shearling. I wear them all the time. But I’m from New England where that is normal.

Cindy, Just pm’d you about the boots if they still are available. I LOVE Bean Boots. For those asking about sizing, they generally run a size LARGE…they are made to fit over those thick ragg wool socks, also popular here in the Northeast.

I have a pull on pair of loungers, and also a shorter kiltie front pull on pair, but alas, the bottoms on both are getting pretty slick. Not the best on ice, as others have commented. Hopefully, I can still get another month or two of wear out of them before the icing begins!!

Ugh. My 13" Maine Hunters failed at the seams after two years. Totally leaky. The quality sucked! My 13" Schnees are still waterproof (as in, I can wade in the water to 12" and not get wet socks) and they’re six years old. Schnees it is for me, from here on out. Plus Schnees have better riding heels.

Cindy, I’m an 8. I’d gladly pay you for the shipping and some extra for your kindness
