Anyone wear L.L. Bean boots?

I love my pair, and the boots are almost never on sale or eligible for % off sale deals. Until now. 20% off any order over $50 until next Tues 10/11. Code: SAVE20. Go shop!!!

I’ve had a pair of the Lounger boots for several years and love them. So easy to slip on and off to wear out to the barn, in the yard, etc. Now I’m going to get a pair of lace-up ones…

Sorry, could’ve at least posted a handy link for you: :o http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/506697?page=footwear-llbean-boots&bc=474&nav=gnro-hp

Thanks for the heads up. I love my Bean boots and am in the reverse situation. I’ve been thinking about buying a pair of one of the slip on styles. Because sometimes, really early in the morning, tying my boot laces is nearly beyond my abilities.

Love my LL Bean boots. The slip on boots are great for quick trips out to the barn.

Love my Bean boots! Thanks for the heads up!

Just getting ready to buy some myself some Bean boots! Had them growing up, but as an adult have done the Muck boots, Dubarrys, etc. They’ve all failed (yes, even the Dubarrys…cry…), so it’s time to go back to the original standard. Trying to decide between regular ducks or storm chasers…

Thanks for the coupon code, OP!

Dude. My mother used to have a pair eons ago. I could have “borrowed” them because they would have fit.

At the time I thought they were ugly.  WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME?!

Love bean boots! But last time I went to order the wait was several months. I needed boots asap so went with Ariats instead. They are much clunkier than bean boots, so may have to utilize the sale and buy me some more. Like you say they are NEVER on sale!

Oh sure… just replaced DH’s Beans last week.

My dad bought my mom and himself a pair probably 20+ years ago. I wear the ones he bought for my mom and I know he still wears his. The tread on mine are worn, and I usually fall on the ice (it happens a lot, don’t feel bad), but they’re so broken in and comfortable I can’t bring myself to buy a new pair. I can’t speak for the quality of the new ones, but if they’re anything like the old ones they are something I would actually pay full price for (doesn’t happen often).

I have the shearling lined lace up bison hide boots and love them. I’d like a pair of shearling lined pull one but the last ones I saw the lining would come out when you took them off like an inside out sock. Have they fixed that?

Knee high & the 13" rs. Love my bean boots - still have my Maine Hunting Shoe pair (the 13") from college in the early 80’s. Check out Ebay - they are listed all of the time in the lace up & slip ons - worth saving lots of coin.

I think you can send them back and get new rubber bottoms put on.

I just ordered myself a new pair of boots. And a new shirt. And a new pair of pants.

Yes, you can send them back to Bean’s and they will rebuild them for you. The first time I served on jury duty here in Maine I kind of chuckled. It was January, and a lousy day, and both attorneys had on Bean boots. About a dime a dozen around here and people wear them everywhere.

Here’s a funny little husband quirk: He always insists I buy him the “women’s” boots because he wants navy not brown. Every few years we have this big debate over what size to get and every time I am right after all…

Thanks for the heads up. I got my pair.

This reminds me that I need to send my bean boots back to get a new bottom put on. The tread was worn down from wearing them so much.

SmartAlex, both of my sons wore my bean boots in their tween years (26 and 15).

The shorter lace ups were great because, if you knotted the laces just so, you could pull them on and wear them, or pull on and tie them for ankle support.

The only thing I didn’t like about them was how cold my feet would get in the winter. Maybe I should check out the lined ones!!

The loungers aren’t eligible for the discount. :frowning:

I have two pairs of the low slip ons which would fit an 8.5 or possibly an 8 too just sitting in my garage waiting to go to goodwill. Please let me know if anyone wants these I’ll send them too you. They have damage but the bottoms are still fantastic.

I decided to order the Moc, to which the discount did apply.

Those are fine for most of my needs, like walking through the wet grass in the morning to go feed and do the morning rounds.

If you take an 8 to an 8.5 I’ll send you two pairs with fantastic bottoms for free. One is navy, the other classic brown. You can save the money and return.
