Anything stellar about this AQHA pedigree?

Title sums it up. I’m interested in this horse, and found his pedigree http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/hotrod+rock

Anything wonderful/horrible about it?

Lots to like, as far as the pedigree is concerned, if you’re looking for a QH with a working-horse background. Quick look at his pedigree shows lots of horses with accomplishments in cutting, reining, roping etc and quite a few that passed those talents to their offspring.

Of course, as always, it depends on the horse in front of you and what you want to do with it…

About as good as you can get for a reiner or cutter. However, unfortunately, all the good ones are quite a ways back on that pedigree.

To lazy to look it up, but I’d be wanting to know the records on the horses closer up.

Like zipperfoot said, lots to like if you want a stock horse or trail horse. I love the Two Eyed Jack line for great disposition (as well as the Leo blood) and the Doc Olena line have great work ethics. You have a lot of great performance there with Poco Bueno, Doc Bar, Doc Olena, Colonel Freckles, Zan Parr Bar to name a few. Well know enough to google and find plenty of info on each on the web.

I would have this horse tested due to this info:

Horse is being sold as a low level dressage horse and from his video, looks perfectly capable at First.

He’s bred VERY well for working cow horse and decent reiner. Would be a fun dressage horse and I would definitely look at western dressage with him. I know quite a few ranchers who would be ga-ga for his dam.
