APHA/AQHA/TB Stallions that event or jump?

Looking to breed my APHA breeding stock mare next year. I am looking for a stallion that would give me a registered foal and that would give big bone and jumping ability.

Ideas? Prefer tobianos.

Thanks,
Nancy!

Salute the truth at dodon if he’s still standing. Coconut grove if frozen semen is still available.

Both thoroughbreds with tremendous records in sport, Salute the truth in eventing, coconut grove in show jumping.

Salute the Truth is retired.

If you look into Kodachrome he is a TB that is approved for breeding with RPSI. He is frame and very nice. http://echohillsporthorses.com/kodachrome.html Website isn’t updated though Has your mare been tested for frame?

I don’t know any APHA tobianos that have gone Prelim eventing or higher jumping. There may be one out there but I am not aware of him

True colours farm is a coth poster, right?? This guy looks ideal for OPs needs

That’s weird, because Tribal King is definitely at Blazing Colours right now - https://www.facebook.com/188357061189488/photos/pcb.1219000291458488/1218995091459008/?type=3&theater

BC also has two young sabino TBs, but I’m not sure they are standing to outside mares.

Tribal King is with Blazing Colours and not with me. I totally forgot about that ad - thanks - I will remove it …

Guaranteed Gold is a cremello TB that is APHA listed and evented up to Training level. Another really fabulous TB stallion is Rather Well who evented up to the Advanced Level. Also check out the stallions at Stonehouse Meadows Sport Horses -

I adore Arctic Blue - visually he is white but he is a black base coat colour and tall and has a phenomenal jump and should give you a really tall, colorful foal

Good luck in your search!

Are you planning to do shipped semen?
I have a breeding stock paint/tb mare and am planning to breed in the future. I know of two very young tb stallions that are by Racey Remarque. Both are black (maybe dark brown) overos. Very well bred. They might be standing next year at 7mile ranch in Montana. They also have C Spot Go, but not sure if they are still breeding him. Another stud is Paying Forward (I think). I have a pinterest page with a bunch of stallions.
Any TB will work, just depends on whether or not you care about getting the spots. The resulting foal will be registered.
Try Blazing Colours in Canada.
Does your mare carry the color gene? It might open your up your options.
I haven’t run into many tobianos.

What about Sea Accounts? His owner posts here. In Texas.

C Spot Go passed away not too long ago. The other two stallions you referred to are very young, I don’t think they are quite 3 years old yet.

Paying Forward is still around but sold from MT to someone in Idaho I believe.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I am planning on shipped semen as we are a bit away from all of them. Not necessarily looking for colour, it is always the icing. Want great temperament, conformation and athletic ability first.
Mare is 7/8 QH out of our APHA stallion, Major Jingo, who is now deceased.

I think Knowtorious Son is retired from breeding–he’s wonderful though! I have 2 of his sons, and will not part with them! Wouldn’t hurt to check with Pam just to be sure. His babies can jump, and their brains are lovely.

You should look at Sea Accounts and Sea Lion–they are both TB’s that event!

My colored mare is by C Spot Go. Sad to hear he passed away. I am breeding my colored mare to Sea Accounts in the spring.
The Racey Remarque colts are two this year.

I really like the looks of Sea Accounts. The website is only updated to 2013 though. :frowning:

His owner is on coth I believe but also his Facebook page is updated more regularly.

Yes Facebook for Sea Accounts is updated and if you message her, she gets right back to you. There are some really nice youtube jumping videos.
What is the breeding on your mare (paint side)?

I have a 4 yo Appendix by PS Sign the Card. His brain is AMAZING. Smart, sweet, quiet, and he’s super athletic. I’m pretty sure she’s still standing him, along with Signature of Honor, who’s 3/4 TB. They’re more hunter types, but they’ll add bone and jumping ability.

Another vote for Tribal King! I love everything I have seen of him.

Do you have a conformation picture of your mare? What do you want to improve on her? What do you want to keep?
