Double Bid was one of our neighbor’s horse and we had some of his mares as broodmares and they were very nice horses and good producers.
Thank you! I owned this mare as a little girl and she was just a 2 year old then. I’m going to pick her up next weekend and was curious what her background really is. She has one of the best temperaments I’ve ever encountered in a horse. Double Bid must have been a spectacular horse!
Double Bid sired good runners that then made good ranch horses that lasted long.
They also were gentle and got along with everyone, human or horse and most had good, amenable temperaments.
As broodmares, the ones we had were nice to handle, very good mothers and never gave trouble.
I am not surprised your mare had a good disposition, if those genes is what she inherited.
