Apiro

At Ontario Elite Hunter Sales we had a stunning Apiro colt this year out of a Zeus mare, premium with Old NA and inspector said he was the nicest hunter foal he had seen in Canada! Great temperment, flat knee’d movement with beautiful neck and topline. Chestnut with 4 stockings and a big star, very hunter type and could not have been more pleased.

I beleive there is an Apiro son standing at stud, Amazing. A young stallion, but I am in LOVE with his movement and what I can see of his personality and temperment in videos.

 Amazing did come from our farm (we imported him as a foal) but he is by Balou du Rouet. We do have a super 2 year old Apiro son, Appeal, that we plan to present next year. There is also an approved son in Germany.

Danielle Veasy _www.SouthernOaks.net (new site under construction is DVSporthorses.com) has a beautiful 2011 Apiro filly - Alexi… I took a few dozen photos of her the other day… best I can say is, “WOW!!!” I’ll see if I can get them up on Danielle’s website.[/QUOTE]

That is a lovely filly -as is her Idocus filly - my broodmares are there - can’t wait for the new website!

This is false. Amazing is by Balou du Rouet.

Amazing is making a name for himself as a young stallion. Most of his get are fairly young, but he throws a ton of color. Other than that I don’t know too much about him.

So sorry this took so long to get back to, but here are some of the photos we took of Danielle Veasy’s 2011 Aprio filly, whom I believe she calls Alexi (I feel horrible that I am not 100% certain of this filly’s name, and I’ve asked Danielle to repeat it more than once, but the old grey cells just aren’t what they used to be).

This filly’s pedigree is Apiro/ Winchester/Wachmann

We love this filly, love her, love her frame, her balance, her athleticism… she is a lovely tribute to both her sire and grandsire Argentinus. If we did not already have horses, she is a direction we’d go in a heartbeat.

Your filly has very little mane, like our Apiro colt! She is very lovely!

EEK!!! Sorry if that was not clear from my posts… the filly in my photos is not ours. She is bred and owned by Danielle Veasy. We have no ownership interest in her at all. The only reason we know about her is that we have horses in training with Danielle and have seen Alexi since about the day she was foaled. As breeders, we were naturally interested in her pedigree. We’ve heard of Apiro and her grandsire Argentinus was one of our all-time favorites, and she is so reminiscent of him. For a whole lot of reasons we’ve been huge fans of hers all along. I am not sure if Danielle is a poster on COTH. You can google her or her farm Southern Oaks.

And yes, I’d be happy to take photos for you…

Stunningly gorgeous filly you posted, Cartier! Looks so strikingly similiar to ours in every way (even color, solid bay with one front sock), just ours is slightly lighter in type due to the TB mare. I love to see a stallion so prepotent - otherwise what’s the point. LOL

Thank you so much for all of your information about Apiro; I have a lovely mare that looks like Apiro- color and chrome— I am tempted to say the least; there is also a stunning colt in our general area (Oregon) that I would love to go see- but alas- I need to win the lottery!!!-I think my mare is a sabino- she is registered Sacchen Anhalt- I will try and post a photo-- not sure how to do it.
