Apoquel

And there is a wet product by Rayne that might be added for more palatability. Or she can just toughen up and get used to it.

So far so good - - see how it is long term. Quite thrilled really.

I’ll ask him if I could do a small trial of the IAMS, and its price.

I gave her some salmon from our dinner the other night…just couldn’t throw that goodness out.

I worry about the manufacturing process and any additives.

Why the Kangaroo diet? Have you done an allergy test and that is the only thing she is not allergic to? One of my dogs has a laundry list of ingredients he is allergic to including egg, corn, potato, sweet potato (which is in your kangaroo food) etc etc. Pretty much everything in most kibble. Luckily he is allergic to more game meat like duck and rabbit and is totally ok with beef and chicken. I did a ton of research and there are VERY few products that are dry kibble (least expensive of the expensive stuff) that do not have the ingredients he is allergic to. I have been using Nutrisca Chicken & Chickpea and, other than the kibbles being small so my other dog inhales it, it has been fantastic.

Unfortunately, it didn’t work for my guy. I would love to get him off the prednisone. Especially now that he’s pushing ten. We get a blood panel done on him twice a year to make sure everything is functioning well, but he is my once in a lifetime dog and is my heart. Poor guy is alergic to grass, trees, etc.

I lost our white Bull Terrier last year and the only thing that made him comfortable was prednisone. That was before Apoquel was available and I always thought it might have helped. Never will know, but reading your post I’m thinking probably not. Better to have him comfortable, though, despite the side effects.
