This thread is about Genevieve Montremare
AKA
Genevieve Sanders
AKA
Genevieve Marie Victurnienne de Rochechouart-Mortemart, Dame de Vivonne and Princesse Tonnay-Charete
For those who have not heard this story, read the links, because it is a really unbelievable – yet true crazy thing. Fake death, multiple identities, bigger and bigger lies, claims to European royalty, valuable stallion dying and insurance involved, the National Raisin Queen crown, world-class pianist…
So in November, Genevieve Montremare and her husband, Dr. Michael Weilert, appealed a judgement against them to pay $700,000 in compensation and $850,000 in punitive damages. This ruling was the result of fraud they committed in misrepresenting a property which they sold. The judge dismissed the appeal because the Weilerts disobeyed his orders prohibiting “transferring assets among themselves and entities related to Weilert’s medical practice.”
So the Weilerts still owe the money, but how will the plaintiffs collect if the Weilerts continue to defy the judge’s orders and tranfer their assets? Does the judge say stop, they say no, and then there are no consequences? I don’t get it.
