I’d wear a flag (any flag!) before I’d wear a beach volleyball or gymnastics suit!

I also wrote twice to the USEF about the incorrect placement of the flag on the riders saddle pads. I see they have finally provided saddle pads with proper flag orientation.[/QUOTE]
I know I risk sounding like an idiot, but what is the correct way to show a flag on a saddle pad? Is it supposed to be “backwards” or on a specific side? When I compete in international competitions, I have put flag patches in the corner of the left side of the saddle pad. But, I’ve never been told anything specific, so I’m curious to hear what is correct.
on an object in motion ( boat car horse human) the field ( the blue area) faces forward. As if to represent a flag waving from a pole, streaming to the back in the wind
so on a saddle pad, the blue field should be nearest the riders leg
on a soldier, you will notice that one arm will appear"backwards"
The reason it appears wrong is because the way to display when hung from a wall either horizontal or vertical, the way most of us are use to seeing, is that the field is always on the viewers left .
When we view it on an object in motion and the field is to the right ( forward) it looks “wrong”
I am not a super patriot, but I am picky about the flag display. I learned this very early on.
I also uphold the right to protest burn.
