Needless to say there are plenty of TB stallions that are capable of producing really good sport horses. I just wouldn’t breed to Into Mischief to get one. Race winners he does get (for 250K LFG.)
Completely agree with you.
Sorry. I’ve been busy.
I will reword my question.
I want a tb sire who i will cross with a tb mare who is 100% hunter mover, with slow lofty jump.
I am not wanting to do jc breeding… so no live cover.
He will get registered with a registry which has already told me they accept full tb, given there is full Pedigree info available. The Jack Robin stallion i posted earlier will be an easy fit because he has lots of wb inspection results.
I don’t agree that he won’t move and jump a la hunter… he has scope, canter, and dam has the trot i need… so I’m hopeful my hypothetical foal will have a great jump. Remember my foal is needing to jump big hunter sticks, not necessarily win a hack.
I will have this hypothetical colt out there competing and making a name for himself as a 4 foot horse.
Please guide me to hunter producing tb stallions.
Not tb/warmblood.
This is a goal for me, I’m not interested in owning a cross bred stallion… my goal is to get a tb jumping big hunter jumps, period.
That’s why I’m trying
There a registry in NA who will accept the foal, and I’ll worry about approvals once he us actually doing what i need
I’d love to see a full TB out showing at real shows, stallion or not, so I love your goal. It’s a serious one though. Will cost you a million to accomplish and frankly will not make you anything on breeding fees even if you are successful.
The above stallion I don’t think is built like a hunter, but the problem is there aren’t any really that fit your criteria. No one is showing purpose bred tbs.
Friend or Foe does stand to the local VA show crowd though and produces good jumpers if you want to check him out. And Willow Hill has Hollywood Handsome, who I’m not as familiar with, but is also offered cooled I think.
