So Funny!! I just bought that one, and it has the warm inside I was talking about!
Just so happens I work in a trendy outerwear/weekend style shop called Outriggers Apparel that sells them to support my Patagonia/Barbour habit which translates to working for clothes.
p.s. Equibrit, I have been called a poser but it was when I was wearing my Rolex baseball cap, go figure.

I wear a light tan, felt cowboy hat in a relaxed, almost Australian style. Since it’s often windy wear we hunt, it has a leather string under the chin. I’d love to have a waxed, leather Aussie hat. They are so heavy though and sometimes heavy hats give me a headache.
When it’s warm I usually wear a floppy straw hat.

Do windy wears go to ground ?

great hats

check out http://www.bydiana.com, she makes some fabulous hats!

oh dear. Just popping over from my usual H/J hideout, and have to say how much I want to hunt. Not just for the hats, but it is pretty awesome. Hunt people seem to know what’s up- horses, libations, more libations, and hats. Oh me, oh my! Will have to look into my hunting/hilltopping options for a non-horse-owning hat lover!

I got a little Barbour fedora from Kevin’s. Inspired by one sported on the “Sartorialist” blog. Packable too!

Bits, Please…

Hi Bits,
Welcome to the wonderful world of coth foxhunters! We do love enticing newbies into life-long addiction…

If you want to read about what we did for Hinderella and Pleasantmeadow, you will get an idea of how much fun we have. Start your own thread with us, and you will have many mentors to help you. It would be helpful to know where you are, so we can connect you with the hunt clubs in your area and foxhunters who can do hands-on mentoring. Once you have enough training under your belt, we will sweep you off to a Great Coth Hunt Expedition.

Currently, it looks like the next one will be in the Spring at Hunter’s Rest. Then everyone will have some vacation time to use. So plan ahead!

Please feel free to P.M. me. I’ll P.M. you as well, to get you started. Happy Thanksgiving and now you have an early Christmas prezzie! Us!:lol:

Thank you for this timely post. On our way home from Opening Day, Beau’s Dad told me that I looked like Festus and needed a new hat for hunt breakfasts. Hope he’s paying…

I trade between my fedora and cowboy hat. I have curly hair so tend to go the plain route though I did add the Fiona from bydiana on my wish list. (Such a good find ty CJ!)
