AQHA and/or APHA lookup?

At the barn there is a mare with lost papers. Chestnut, flaxen mane and wimpy tail, big blaze, soggy, high white stockings, I believe she is around 13-14 years old?

Registered name: Skip Dee Bounty.

Owner thinks she’s AQHA, but I have an inkling she might be breeding stock paint. Owner has lost the papers, and I’m curious how this mare is bred because she’s a pretty fun ride.

Can anyone help?

AQHA tells me:

  • There is no record associated to this Horse Name.
It is an APHA registered name, but that's all I can do there. I don't have a subscription to their internet searches.

Super, thanks Bluey!

Anyone got an APHA membership that wouldn’t mind looking the mare up? Thank you!

I have a membership but only lets you research names, nothing else without paying an extra yearly searching fee.
Years ago you could at least get pedigrees, not any more.

Why don’t you call them as see how much they may just tell you over the phone?
Some times they tell you sire and dam, or last name of registered owner on record.

I looked her up, says she’s a solid Paint bred 2003 mare. Registration #817017. Dam is Skipn Son Dee Bar, sire is Ima Bounty Hunter (both Paints). Lots of QH in there, There is Red Sonny Dee, QH stallion, on both sides.

Thank you thank you thank you! I really appreciate it!
