Arabian Tattoo

I don’t know if anyone can answer this, but the farm where my friend boards bought an absolutley cutie of an arabian at New Holland on Monday!

He is bay with a little white star and black long forelock and mane. Anyway, he was supposed to be a QH/Arab and around 8 years old, but we lifted his lip and ALAS- saw a Tattoo on it. We can’t really make out the first digit, but the rest is 10333.

Does anyone know where we could look him up? I know the Jockey Club offers it for Thoroughbreds, but am curious where to go for Arabians?

We are very interested into finding out who he is and where he came from!

Thanks!

According to this page, Arabian racers have the last 6 digits of their registration number tattooed.

AHA #610333 is An Attitude FA by ANTRIGUE FA out of TBM MISS KITRAZ, bay stallion foaled 21 Jan 2004. His breeder/registered owner’s address is given as Eugene, OR. If that’s who you have, he came quite a ways at some point…

#510333 is a gray mare foaled in 1994. #710333 hasn’t been assigned yet, so there are your bookends.

Edited to add: An Attitude FA’s markings are shown as a star and two small hind socks.

I think that is him… He matches that description as he has two hind socks and the star.

Do you know if he ever raced?

Hi again…

It looks like the girls at the farm read the tattoo on this arab wrong… I went up there and we looked at it and it looks more like 805335… He also has 3 white legs- two behind and one in the front…

As discussed above, a horse of this age is probably going to have a number beginning in 6. 605335 is a chestnut mare, not a match. But 3 and 8 can blur into each other, also 6 and 8.

PATRIOTZ GAAME - AHR 605835, 2003 bay gelding by Patriot Missile+/ out of CASSELS GAZELLA.
4 starts in 2008, 2 starts in 2007, lifetime winnings $761.

star, white on left fore and both hinds. 3 whorls on each side of neck.

Address of last recorded owner is Oxford, PA.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! This is Him…

I actually googled his name and came across an ad of him for sale… http://www.endurance.net/classifieds/classifieds/index.php?a=2&b=9299

Anyway, I contacted the owner and was informed that she gave him away to what she thought was a good home and they turned around and sold him at New Holland!

Thanks again for your help!

What a cutie! One of the lucky ones, for sure.

I have a Patriot Missle mare, also a bay. I really like the dam side of your gelding. I remember seeing him for sale. I think you came up with a gem!

I’m hoping you are still on this blog. I am Payton’s (Antrigue’s) breeder in Eugene, OR. Please get in touch with me if you still have him, or know who does.
