Are Black eyed Susans toxic to cats

They are blooming right now along my road along with wild sunflower, Queen Ann’s Lace and purple coneflower. I’d like to pick some to brighten up my room but I don’t want to bring in something that would harm the kitties. Its not illegal to pick them here.

It says here that they are.

Would your cats actually eat them? My cats are indoor/outdoor cats and I have lots of them, wild and planted from a nursery; my cats have never eaten them.

The catmint…well that’s another story.

I just bought a catmint plant for the first time this year, they like it but don’t go bonkers over like the actual catnip plants.

I have a few plants on that “toxic list” that are inside my home(one is a 32 year old corn plant), my cats are strictly indoor and have never chewed on anything other than what I’ve given them.

I bring them into the house but my 2 cats have never chomped on them at all. I suppose it depends on the cats
