I saw one of these Viega types available on FB this last week… absolutely stunning!

@BrokenArrow, I sent you a PM. Do any of you folks have contacts in Spain or Portugal? Recommendations? Thanks for any help you may have in locating a PRE or Lusitano for dressage!!

I bought mine from a small breeder in Minnesota getting out of the business.

Contact Jorge Gabriel at Casa Lusitana in MA. He is always bringing in dressage-bred horses from Brazil. You can google him.

FEIwannabe, isn’t Epona just fabulous?! A friend and I spent a week there last May and had an absolute blast. We both would have brought home horses we rode there:) We fell in love with the breed. I have a young Lusitano X filly that I am excited about. I bred her for my next riding horse, the WBs are just not the end all be all for dressage IMO.

Epona was amazing. I tried out 2 horses there and loved the facility.

I went through an agent when I horse shopped. She was fantastic and I got to travel all around southern Spain, which was an added bonus!

Epona was awesome. I’m planning another trip in the Spring. I can’t wait. It’s been way too long.

Got mine in Brazil. At that time, at least, if you bought a horse, the Brazilian government reimbursed you for a coach ticket. Not bad, and the trip itself was wonderful!

I purchased mine through Antonio Macias in Spain. Straight forward and communicative. After I purchased the horse he sent me a riding video (lag time between purchase and transport, I approved of him being ridden) and also one of him loading onto the truck. I bought this particular horse sight unseen. No problems.

Another trainer nearby has used him many times with success and found him to be honest and sell horses with correct training on them.
