For those who are interested (and yes, I am watching) the livestream of Arena Eventing is working tonight! Things are just getting started. I know the format is controversial but they do have some of my favorite riders in the ring.

Edited to add: Although I admit I enjoyed watching the Devon arena eventing earlier this year, this course is so cramped and claustrophobic!

Only watching because I’m bored at work. God is this 5 kinds of stupid. I hate this circus crap. I hate that anyone anywhere in the stands thinks this is eventing.
Can the riders hear the commentators I wonder?

@allons-y My pleasure! I love watching it “with” COTH peeps! And yes, it’s a circus but I have to watch it, can’t look away.
I also feel bad for the riders having to listen to the constant chatter as they ride.

Did Clayton Frederick have an air vest on? He looked a bit “puffy” after that big stop and I was trying to see if his air vest deployed (or it could be my really fuzzy screen).
I thought so, too.
It looks like a very cool back drop but the riders likely don’t even notice it while riding.
Who’s the announcer (not Karen)? I know I’ve heard him before, and he’s cracking me up tonight.
Agreed-Course is so twisty and watching horses hauling around the arena is just not fun to me. I am bored too, but would rather watch college football-Go UGA- than this.

commentators are brutal, making pretty harsh comments and although I am laughing I would rather hear about the horse, who owns it, age breed etc.
The course is boring I think. 
Is that Hugh Lochore commentating with Karen? He does a great job.

Initially I was kinda into it (though I’d prefer it to be its own sport, not called eventing) But the more I watched it started to seem like cheap entertainment for the ‘real’ riders - equivalent to pony races or something like that. It comes across as demeaning to eventing.
Didn’t care for it at all, but wondering where they are all going out to drink after. I’m 2 blocks from there and get off work in an hour!
Caught just the last little bit and was aghasted - really ugly the way they had to turn and burn. I thought the “uniforms” were cute though.
@tbchick84 I’m from NJ and I was thinking the same thing–maybe I should have gone to have “stalked” them after hours!
Glad to see Dom and Ryan win and get some recognition and $, regardless of the nature of the beast.
