Arena Maintenance

Looking to finally get an upgraded arena drag. Currently footing would be a lot more pleasant if it were maintained with something with a bit more bite than the chain drag I’ve been making do with… I am leaning toward the Arena Rascal (5.5’) or the Drag N Fly (60"). I want something that can be dragged with my current set-up (38HP compact tractor) or by a gator/ATV down the line. Any recommendations? Between the Rascal vs. Drag N Fly, any perspective to share?

I have both. At two different farms. I like them. I think if you want to dig up more / loosen footing I would go w arena rascal. If you want to roll after you loosen GP w drag n fly

I have had aDragNFly D60 for 5 years and use it daily on the three point of a Deere 1025R. Two weeks after purchase the roller fell off. Manufacturer never responded to my contact attempts, so I bought parts at Tractor Supply and was able to repair it myself. The roller is held by a pillow block bearing at each end. One block cracked apart and when the roller dropped free it broke the one on the opposite end as well. These bearings and supports are on the shelf parts at TSC.

Other than that initial episode, it has performed well.

I have the Drag n Fly and pull it no problems with and ATV. I’ve had it for 5-6 years but don’t use it but a few times a month–just 1 person using the arena. I haven’t had any issues with it at all. It seems to be doing a good job. I do have the guy that built my ring come out every few years to drag with his equipment to make sure any shifting to the edges or any other distribution issues gets taken care off.
