Well last summer I purchased these boots and after show season I put them away and didit ride in them for the whole winter! This show season I went to put them on, and got them on just fine however when I had them on they were squuezzing my calfs. Any suggestions on this? Or am I just going to have to suck it up with the pain of having my field boots squuezing my calfs?
Why not just send them back and exchange for the next size up in the calf?
Ummm⊠Did your calf get bigger? Iâm not really seeing how this is Ariatâs faultâŠ
If you want to stretch them you can use boot stretch spray or use the bathtub method. (Do a search for it and youâll find it.)
Best of luck.

Iâm guessing because she bought them last year and wore them for an entire show season.
They probably just shrunk back a little. Just wear them around a little, and they should stretch back out. Leather expands and shrinks just like everything else does.
No no no im not blaming ariat at ALL! and I cant send them in?? I wore them last summer. Im thinking if I just wear them around and maybe wet them a bit, hopefully they will stretch out and fit me well again. There is no way that they can completely cut the circulation off in my leg is there?

Sorry. The big âthumbs downâ icon next to the brand name made me think you were blaming something on the boots.
As long as you can wiggle your toes I think youâll survive.
If you can get them on, I think youâll live! LOL
Ah, sorry. Somehow I read that as âbought them and put them in the closetâ Somehow skimmed over the fact they were used for a show season. Eeh!
hahah sorry I may have made it seem like i was putting the boot down! Not at all I LOVE my ariats⊠never would go to another brand name! Im just hoping the more I wear them the more comfortable they will get. Thank you guys
Ditto
Try putting them on first thing in the morning, like wear your breeches to bed. Or to help them slide on better showsheen your legs or wear knee highs.
But I feel your pain âŠI purchased a warmblood and now Iâm so toned I wear a wide calf.

On some computers, the âthumbs downâ icon looks more like a question mark. Iâve noticed quite a few threads that ask questions and have nothing to do with a negative review (ie, warranting a thumbs down) have the âthumbs downâ icon in the title.

Ditto this. This happens to my boots when I take a break from riding in them. Just continue oiling and wearing them until they supple up again.
Your legs also change. Fluid retention at certain times of the month, if you ate alot of salt. A change in the tone or muscling of your legs over the winter is not uncommon. On the occasion I can hardly get mine on (same boot) but if I wear them after about an hour the fluid in my legs goes down and they are fine. Oil them and wear them. Youâll be fine.
Does anyone in this thread have these boots in Cognac color? I am having a similar problem but donât know what to use to oil and clean this color of boot.
The gussets and elastic panels along the back of my boots prevent the shape from holding with boot stretchersâŠdo yours have back elastic panels?
