Ariat Monaco LX Field boots

Is there a market for these or are they simply out of fashion? I ask because I have a pair that I bought three years ago but never really wore. I tried to break them in at home but then was between horses and not showing, and I’ve now decided that the calves are too “slim” for my more mature leg. I’d like to sell them but am unsure about pricing. Can I ask real money (I paid $1000) or are they more of a give away item at this point? I’ll be at a show next week and want to advertise them there appropriately.

Ebay has new ones in certain sizes for $300-$400, so I don’t see you getting more than that. A lot depends on the size, an 8RR is going to be an easier sell than xslim xtall or other outlier sizes.

You should definitely be able to sell them, but since they are a discontinued style and you can still find a random pair on closeout, you likely wouldn’t be able to get what you paid for them. I agree with ClassyJumper that you should be able to get $300 to $400+.

If they have zippers someone will want them. If not it’s a tough sell. You can get some nice custom boots at the $1000 mark so I’d say low hundreds.

Googled. These don’t look particularly out of date to me and they have zippers. Here is a place selling closeout small sizes for $599 reduced from $1000.

Depending on how new they look you could probably unload them for $300.

If you want to consign, I highly recommend The Tried Equestrian. They have a pair on there now, so you could see how they priced them for reference.
