Ariat, you are a very very BAD drug dealer.

Ariat is like a bad drug dealer. They get you hooked on some GREAT ITEM that only they made— and then they discontinue the item you love once you buy it and decide you can’t live without it.

Ariat All Circuit breeches. No one else has that cut. No one else uses that fabric. It repels dirt and stains like a force field, washes like a dream, and is comfortable/stretchy. These breeches came in show colors and some fun colors. So what did Ariat do? Discontinue them and not replace them with anything remotely similar.

Ariat Women’s Ridge Slip On. The BEST BARN SHOE ON EARTH. A combination of neoprene and leather. So comfortable, so easy to wear, so nice looking. Stupidly, Ariat also called 4 other models of shoes “ridge” (including some that were mens) to make these basically impossible to easily google. And what did Ariat do after releasing these beauties to the world? Discontinue them to and not even offer anything remotely similar in the next few product lines.

I’m afraid to buy anything Ariat anymore because I will get hooked and then letdown.

So Ariat, if you’re reading this… don’t discontinue great items!!!

Seriously! AMEN!

I LOVE their Performer (I think that’s the one? It starts with a P) breeches… NO OTHER BREECHES FEEL THE SAME. They’re like yoga pants but sexy, breech yoga pants! I got my hands on one and needed like 10 more and they don’t make them anymore.

I say this as I am wearing almost 100% Ariat… I was thinking of that the other day, my work outfits are starting to be almost entirely Ariat…

Currently wearing one of their fashion boot lines, the chestnut leather boots with the sheepskin lining (DISCONTINUED!!), an Ariat sweater that was worth every cent I paid for it, and Ariat headband. I’m Ariat’d out. I LOVE this sweater. I’m going to buy like six more of them if I can.

I do really, really like that Ariat isn’t just for sticky skinny minnies. Every Ariat I’ve tried has fit me, and I am “shapely athletic”, if you know what I mean. Backside and top heavy. They aren’t boxy like other equestrian brands (Ahem, Joules) and are very, very flattering.

I’ve got a lot of Ariat items in my wardrobe and all have held up really well. Of course, it really helps that most of their clothing line that is non-showing is very work-appropro, so I can justify spending the little extra cash on them vs a department store purchase…

My Ariat paddock boots are unbelievable. I don’t look after them very religiously, I ride 5-6 days a week in them, have been doing so for four years straight. They get muddy and snowy or a combo of both all winter long, dried out in summer, and they’re still going strong. Not only that, but they’re also the most comfortable pair of boots that I own.

I feel your pain…I love, love, love All Circuits. Best breeches ever!

I’m another that misses the All Circuits. That fabric moves so well with you, doesn’t show sweat, and looks really polished. I have two pair that are approaching the decade mark and still going strong. They were priced so well too. Ariat, if you’re listening I’d like more of those please.

I miss the Ariat Brittany breeches!! I was so sad when they were discontinued. I’ve got two pairs that I’m milking along, but sadly about to wear through one of them.

I will only buy Ariat paddock boots.

Rayme: tell me more about this sweater…

Yes! Bring back the All Circuit! Had I known they were going to discontinue them I would have bought so much more. Ariat if you do bring them back I will by like 10 of them. No joke. I have yet to find a par of breeches that I love as much as my All Circuits.

I purchased the Tonics Paddock boots - nothing more comfy and they make Ariats seem like chopped liver.
And then I recently purchased the Horze breeches (http://www.horze.com/riding-breeches-for-men/horze-jackson-mens-functional-knee-patch-breeches/36236.html?color=PDB - I got the men’s model which has lots of pockets for me). I thought, ok I’ll try then and send them back if they are junk. OK well, I’m keeping them and never going back to Ariats again:winkgrin:

Maybe forwarding this thread to Ariat customer service will wake them up?

I LOVE my Ariat paddock boots and half chaps. I’ve had them 10 years, maybe more and they are still in decent shape. Silly me decided on getting the “brown” color instead of black, and now the shade has changed so dramatically. If either the boots or 1/2 chaps need to be retired before the other, I will likely just have to buy a new set of both.

I also agree with the way their clothes fit. I can’t wear a lot of other equestrian brands for day-to-day wear because I’m not tall and slim.

I LOVE my stretch Monaco tall boots… which now seem to be on clearance everywhere! I haven’t been able to scoop up my size (which is not a “normal” size) and I am so scared Ariat is discontinuing these

A continual churn of new products and styles is part of Ariat’s business model. Even their most core items, like the paddocks, are revamped and renamed every few years in the name of innovation and technological progress. Continually refreshing the line is also more interesting for the casual consumer, though understandably frustrating for those who have found The One True Breech or Boot that works for them. Also, replacing Boot 1.0 with the slightly different Boot 2.0 means all their retailers need to clear out Boot 1.0 inventory and drop a few grand on Boot 2.0. Excellent for cash flow!

If you befriend your local Ariat dealer, they usually know what’s going on six months to a year before product arrives in store, though items can be abruptly discontinued just about any time. (If you love the current Heritage or Prix breeches or the current Volant line, ahem…)

The All-Circuits were lovely breeches though they didn’t quite fit me right. The Pro-Circuits were my breech of choice (also now sadly discontinued by Ariat).

I would be 100% cool with the refesh model IF Ariat replaced these items with something equivalent. There is no breech made of fabric anything like the all circuit. There are no slip on barn shoes at ALL.

Milking my last pair of EBay All Circuits as well. I moved to the Brittanys and have an EBay pair of those squirreled away. Fear of “outgrowing” them keeps me away from the Christmas cookies.

Feel the same way about the Pro Circuits. Great cut (that no other breeches has), great fabric, long lasting, etc. I think it was VERY stupid of Ariat to discontinue when they had the market cornered for that shape of breech.

My favorite Ariat dressage boots (zipless, needless to say) are 18 years old. They were made in Italy, and are lovely leather and fit like customs. I treat the like they are made of gold, as they are pretty much irreplaceable as far as I can tell.

And yes, I’ve got a lot of nice stuff from them over the years. Usually good quality and made for real grownup people. My latest purchase is a pair of Bromont tall winter boots. Should have cracked and bought these years ago. So comfortable, so warm, so well made.

At that price they’d better! They look really nice though.

Want to get these so much. Can’t afford. I’m in Canada and I just suffer in my summer paddock boots – feet warm up as soon as I start to trot, riding in the indoor. But someday I’ll find some second hand! 8.6 Farenheit here this morning.

LOVE the Ariat Pro Circuit. Only breeches to fit me right. :frowning:
