Has anyone else used the Aservo Equihaler for equine asthma? I’m curious how long the effects have lasted for other horses. At $260/inhaler, I’m hoping the effects last for a significant amount of time.

I’m also interested….anyone? My vet claims it supposed to last after you finish the treatments, but for how long?
I ended up biting the bullet and using it. The effects were noticeable by the second day. I hadn’t been able to ride because the coughing was so bad, to one cough at the beginning. Effects lasted ~2 months.

Do you need to use it year round?
I started my horse on immunotherapy in December after doing intradermal allergy testing that revealed he’s pretty much allergic to being a horse. Since it can take a while (~1yr) for that to work, my vet (and my) hope was that we would only need to use the equihaler once or twice while the immunotherapy starts to take effect.
I used it once at the beginning of February and haven’t had to use another.
I used it on an Icelandic mats with significant heaves. Effects lasted 4 weeks. She was rideable for owners without coughing for that time. Now she is “heaving” but not coughing in field. Will cough undersaddle, not riding suitable for owners.
