Caught this on TVG. She looked good in her win! One of only 14 fillies/mares to win the Hambletonian.
Heard an interview with her driver after the win and he said he really learned from the qualifier (IIRC) earlier in the day that she did not win how to drive and rate her. Really made a different obviously.
Was the elimination race and Scott had a runaway; I think his father had been driving her prior but I cant find any results for her.
Nice to see a filly win an important race against the boys.
I’m not very familiar with harness racing. I’ve seen a race or two on TV (years ago) and have heard of the Hambletonian.
Reading the article you linked made it very clear that I don’t understand the harness racing lingo, at all.

There’s a link to her lines in the article. Looks like Scotty has been driving her this year, Rick drove her in almost all of her two year old starts with the exception of two (Mark Macdonald and Sylvain Filion). Having nothing to do specifically with Atlanta but it was weird to watch the Meadowlands Saturday card run during the day. I’m used to catching Meadowlands on Friday and Saturday night
