Attention riders!

Are there any velcro smart phone arm/leg bands available yet? I’ve simply outgrown carrying it tucked in my VERY tight Sportbra. TIA

You might get a better response if you changed the title to be more specific.

Go down to your local JoAnns or Hancocks or the like and pick up some velcro and appropriate fabric. You can also usually find at least velcro at places like Cabelas or Gander Mountain or Bass Pro Shop. Now you’re ready to make any sort of “band” device you want.

Go to a local running/biking sports store, they sell arm/leg/fanny pack type cell holders there

I made one with elastic, velcro and neoprene. But there are some good options out there.

My friend has this one for her iPhone5 (with room to spare for size comparison), seems sturdy.

Those stores are 2 hours away from my current location. I’ll take it under advisement.

Well yes, yes you did.
People who actually know the answer to your question might look if they knew your question was in here though.
Feel free to ignore the advice and continue on. Heck, why make it easy for people to help you.

Thank you irish_horse. That’s exactly what I was looking for! It’s been awhile since I did a search for one and there was simply nothing horseback riding worthy. I ride alone and I’m old so I hate not having a phone on my person when I go out. Plus they are so handy for cool pictures without a lot of fuss.

Holy snark. Already got the info I wanted thanks for your help?

They have been available for years, for sale at most of the larger tack businesses that are on-line. Stateline Tack, Dover Saddlery, Big D, etc. I was tempted to ask if you had been living in a frozen wasteland then I saw you do live in Wisconsin and realized that the joke might be taken badly;). Go to the tack web site and search on “phone”. They now have arm and leg bands for small and large phones.

I prefer the little bitty fanny packs made for runners. They make small stretch packs that are comfortable and can hold a pocket knife, lip saver, keys and phone with no excessive bulk. I got mine from a business that specializes in runner’s gear/shoes.

I did a huge search less than a year ago and could not find one large enough for my phone. I have a smaller one for my old smart phone but not for a 5.5" by 3" phone which is bigger than a standard iphone. Most of my small horse stuff I buy online.

BTW we just had the winter from hell. THE toughest winter I’ve experienced as an adult. It was a frozen wasteland for 5 straight months. I had to hire a Cat to clear my driveway once as there was no place left to put the snow and the town had to come in and wing it twice.

Frozen wasteland doesn’t begin to describe it! Sunridge, you live just north of me. And now we’ve had nothing but rain. And more rain. And yet more rain.

I have no advice for a phone holder. I have a friend who has lightweight vests with pockets that she carries her phone in. She finds them at Goodwill and St. Vincent’s. I’m never that lucky.

Go for runners pack! Search should include the word stretch. They hold a lot, stretch to fit most typical items and don’t bounce. Many colors available.

I had one of the arm band phone holders and couldn’t stand the flopping of the thing.

Search amazon for carrying cases for your model phone. There’s still a few combinations of case+phone that do not have suitable armbands out there for some reason. Also just because the picture on the box uses it as an armband doesn’t mean you have to! I strap my phone to my ankle.

My old arm band carrier was strapped between my calf and my knee. I did use it on my arm but liked it better on my leg. I’m trying to decide if I want to repeat that usage or go with a fanny type pack.
