One of the best rides I’ve done was at the Pakiri Beach Horseback riding 
It was just myself and the guide so we actually got to RIDE. Not just walk along.
Beautiful scenery, can go full day and you can see dolphins on in the ocean while you ride.
Have a blast, NZ is my favourite place in the world
