Aunt Esther on 2022 Dressage Attire

Well, sort of like this one, although it’s attached to a motorcycle helmet:

You see, then there’d be no doubt of my ranking as a diva or equestrian princess. (Or perhaps dowager queen at my age).

You do know I’m just kidding, right?

This made my entire day. Aunt Esther returns with a style that is truly timeless.

Did you bling the helmet out practicing to do your show shirt?

I’ll have to take a photo of my show shirt. Once I started, I couldn’t stop! It was so hard to put down the Hot Fix applicator!

Aunt Esther would have a fainting spell!

As an eventer I see no issues with this.

She has always had a soft spot for you.

I know she is busy in the OC with her new husband today, and will come back online later.

Is that you? The horse is ADORABLE. I feel there’s a story to be told about the rest of it.

Thank you . It is from a local starter (Plantation Field) where the photographer gives you a free photo if you ride in costume at the October event. I shopped at the Dollar Tree the night before and went with Princess which suited my very high maintenance gelding!

I’ve been inspired by @Highflyer1 to share my pic from last Fall’s Ntl Drive.
Would this be acceptable for Driven Dressage?

Yes, we placed 2nd (for minis/ponies) & Reserve overall

Oh Aunt Esther. So glad to see you back! And your fans who haven’t been seen for so long

Please forgive my lateness in responding to you. I haven’t popped in to Of Course in a while of course if I’d known you were back I would be checking for your pearls of wisdom daily

I just know today is going to be a great day

Me too, glad I looked over here. Glad some sanity has returned.

Now if we could only entice Bar.ka Lounger to return with her common sense training advice out of retirement…

Has the Blue Saddle Inn and Open Trailer Deck reopened yet?

Welcome back, Aunt Esther! How lovely to see you again! And how nice to hear about my Aunt Edith, who owned the first Prince I ever rode (I was too young to notice her Shapely Breeches, alas! But of course that was only because I was far too busy, as a young pony rider myself, making sure that my gloves were as spotless as Prince’s socks despite holding double reins [attached to the typical children’s Pelham of those days] in Small Pony Hunter classes).

My feeling is that a horsewoman or -man may wear whatever colors she or he pleases just as long – as my Great-Aunt Pearl Clutcher always said – “They don’t do it in the arena and frighten the horses.”
