My mini has been off for a few months now. We initially treated him for a bruise or possible abscess (soaking for 2 weeks). Vet 1 then agreed a chiropractor would be a good idea. He found a horrible knot in his shoulder and said another tx, possibly with acupunture, may be needed. Still he was off. Vet 2 thought it was his foot still but when I saw him again this week he said his feet are fine and it could be the deep flexor tendon however they are often tender and he was the same on both legs. He then said it could be the anxillary nerve in his shoulder/arm area (I can’t recall the specific area) because when I initially adopted him in Feb he did the most awkward roll on a small slope. I researched anxillary nerve problems and for people it mentioned anti-inflammatories and acupunture may help. I’ve yet to contact the chiropractor/accupuncturist. I’ve read that this can takes months and up to a year to return to normal. He doesn’t appear to have any pain and his life is just being a companion to my riding horse. I’m looking for anyone who has had experience with this condition.
