Baby Green Hunter Moment VIDEO UPDATE on p 10
Me up at does

out of the floor
quietly Stare

a poisoned mouse

still who alive

is asking What
have i done that

You wouldn’t have
I am a trap girl, myself, but it still gave me a twinge.

I would have to say, though, that I wouldn’t go into my neighbors spare room and noisily devour a large portion of the unshelled pecans that were there, waiting to be turned into a Thanksgiving pie. And I certainly would not have only eaten out one end only, leaving a neatly nibbled shell with half the innards missing!

meat and potatoes :lol::lol::lol:

I was looking at these as my student is doing hunters and considering some showing, and she pulled up this thread…can someone tell me breeds? I’m curious as to what is out there these days.

:D:lol::D:lol:

This thread is hilarious - sometimes I love CoTH. There I was looking for ‘paint’ in the search box (forgetting you have a colour/type of horse called paint) so I searched for paint on…

Now what I was hoping for was anti chew stuff that you paint on -anyone got suggestions? What I got was paint on latex :lol::lol:

Thanks for the laugh guys!

Are you asking for the breed of the young horse in the video?

His mother was an ottb, his father was 50% Westphalian and 50% Shagya Arab. The father was branded Westphalian, and the young horse in the video is branded Oldenburg (NA).

Breeds in general. I’m an OTTB fan myself, but my student is petite and rides ponies up to larger warmbloods, and I just wondered how diverse the HJ ring was these days.

Well if it is just a general question I think you would get more responses starting a new thread with a relevant subject title rather than resurrecting an old one about something entirely different.

What an odd choice of a thread to pull up to ask that question.

Then I looked at the major players in the earlier pages. Maybe not so odd after all.

Meh, whatever.

Horse is (finally) entered in his first rated show O/F and will do his Baby Green year all in one swoop the second week of September. Either he will march around like he is way too made to be doing the Baby Greens or it will all go FUBAR, or somewhere in between. Who knows.

Ride will be dedicated to a terminally ill law school friend who may not live to receive the pictures and the first trainer who said “I love this horse”, who I like to think will be watching us go from On High.

Horse will get love and pats no matter what.

COTH can think what it will regardless.

Thanks for posting that other thread, Meupatdoes…sure is nice to be able to tell who’s loony around here. Also, I’m kind of bored at work so reading the other thread is a FABULOUS way to spend the remaining hour I have at work. Wish I had a glass of wine!
Unfortunately, it seems that Barnbum has been banned, so she will not be providing us with any more jealous twitishness for a while. Shame, really.

Why so defensive? My student did a search and pulled up this thread. She showed it to me. We actually talk to each other, and I had a question. Makes me regret stumbling over here to HJ land.

Mea culpa, ma culpa, mea culpa.

I see there is a lot of differing thoughts…

IMHO - He looks very immature and not ready to show or even be jumping much. He may be five but looks like he has a lot of growing yet to do.
Edited to add - I was reading through the other posts and sorry if my thoughts are off base and was not to be discussed - He looks like a late bloomer even if he’s 16 1 maybe he will be 17 hands when he’s done?? :))
My thoughts too—looks very immature. I was surprised he is jumping at all. Not my horse, though…

This thread inspired a question that has absolutely nothing to do with this thread??

Just start a new thread if you have a general question about hunterland. This is not in MY interest, as I have no problems with this video and even linked to it myself in the currently-on-page-one “Bloopers” thread, but it may be in YOUR interest as YOU will get more responses. Currently you have gotten, I believe, zero that actually address your question.

There are also several currently running threads about what breeds are popular in hunterland these days, even on the first page of the forum. Trufax.

Ha, never saw this the first time around.

Interesting read now, having seen the horse go several times recently, 18 months after this thread was started. Clearly there was a method to the OP’s supposed madness, as the finished product is lovely.

And frankly, I probably would have said where the $%# is your stick?! But knowing the horse now… I get it.

In other news, try to hush up now.
You are going to get the thread locked with your incessant yammering and I personally am looking forward to the day when somebody randomly resurrects it again and then certain people make their snide little comments and other people ask for pictures and I have footage of the same horse I was ruining last year and schooling terribly in the meantime loping around the 3’6" at a show.
Only half way through, but I couldn’t resist…

Got any more pics?

Did you buy a crop?

Can your horse keep that pace and still get down the line in the correct number of strides?

Actually, I’m serious on that last question, because if your horse can keep that pace and open his stride up enough to get down the line nicely, I’m insanely, ridunkulously jealouse.

The thing about threads is once you start them, they belong to everyone on the board, to read, use or troll in.
I just saw a drop dead gorgeous 5 yr old hunter -sired by Cornet Obolensky. I don’t know if it is about the breed as much as the breeding and the individual. There are a lot of mostly dressage bred hunters being sold out there. Wouldn’t be my choice personally. The young horse in the video did remind me of an Arab.

Your student?
Are you training these days?

Digging up a nearly year old thread to muse on an unrelated topic? And what student? A fruit fly student, or a riding student, with a baby greenie?
really?

Mea culpa, my foot, or your …fanny.

Methinks someone thought it would be fun to stir the sh!t just to make it stink and ended up with the stinky on them.

I’m very sorry about your friend, meup. Good job with your horse and best of luck at the September show. And you WILL be posting video, won’t you?
