At the risk of getting my head chewed off - whatās the point of poking fun at DressageGeek? I also have no clue why she brought up this thread to ask that question, but I think the point has been made that she made a poor judgement call. Is it really necessary to ridicule her for it? I just have a hard time imagining people taking something this far if they were having a face to face conversation.
However, Iām glad I got to see this thread because it was very entertaining and I loved seeing how lovely Meupās greenie became! I wish my horse could jump 3ā6 with the same style herās does!

No, valid question, really, sheās part of a former pack who made posts to gang up on people and demean them, and whose members also made alters so that they could, as they admitted, be more b**tchy under cover, and most of them were banned for bad behaviour. Folks who remember tend to ācatchā them when those remaining on the board do something fishy like try to stir up old stuff they think they can use to shame people with. Thatās all. The posts were to remind DGRH that all is not forgotton if she was interested in stirring up stuff again. So it was a bit more than a poor judgement call on her part, but thatās ok, sheās moved on, now.

Well, hereās the funny thing. I am laughing at the preposterous stories and the embellishment. The story:
- I have a graduate student who rides hunters (some may remember that I came on a few years back to this forum asking for hj barns in my area, since I no longer ride hj).
- She is considering doing some shows with her trainer. And, like the scientist she is trained to be, she is āsearching the literature.ā
- She pulled up the video on this thread, and, thinking it was cute, sent me the link.
- I am in the midst of several looming deadlines - a grant review panel, upcoming grad school teaching, a major grant, writing several manuscripts, mentoring my students. I will be honest here. I did not read the thread. I saw the video, and since I am a TB lover, I thought I would just jump on and ask the question.
It is amazing to me what some people will come up with when they want to color something a certain way.

No. I disagree with your entire post but Iāll stick to this last paragraph. If this OP wasnāt such a self rightious pain in the neck this probably wouldnāt have gone so far, but since she is, why not keep going?
I suspect the horse will get worse. I also think the horse is under wieght, and a u neck with a pointy croup, but thatās from a high aerial view from far away. Since the OP is such know it all on all things horse related to training, itās really amazing to see that her horse is in the condition itās in. I really expected too see a well muscled, round, forward horse, not the inverted thin horse in the video with no top line who backs out the in gate. I think every one who is as opinionated as the OP should be required to submit videos so we are able to determine how much weight to put on their opinions.

I only replied to what you had posted, it was surprising to see what you had said considering your previous comments about the OP. Iāve done the same with others also, when they say one thing when theyāve previously said another.

I donāt really āknowā the OP and donāt usually follow or ignore their posting. I did remember this thread having a funny video and then becoming contentious and then dropping off into the BB blackhole. So I re-read it. The bumping didnāt make sense to me, but meh. People often join groups and follow each other around on this BB to have fun either with jokes or poking fun or whatever. Nothing new.
FWIW, Iāve never had any arguments or issues with you that I can recall. Weāve exchanged posts on this BB and never had a personality conflict. Same with Geek. I donāt have any vendettas of any sort.
It is interesting though that the person who bumped the thread up stated her reasons for bumping it up and then you state that you had nothing to do with it but that it was bumped up by someone who was annoyed with the OP. So was it an innocent student who happend to find this old thread on Baby Greens on a search for hunter breedsā¦and her teacher decided to also find the old thread to ask the questions for her? Or was it bumped because the OP has ruffled the feathers of a lot of people from the same group? At this point Iām a bit confused.

OP- notes on your video on page 10. Make sure you do not under power you horse to the fences. Your first and third fence werenāt too bad as they were smaller and I think you had a bit more pace. But to the oxer with the high back rail I nearly gasped when I realized you were heading to that fence with that slow, no powered canter and your horseās awkward bunny hopping jump was the consequence of this. If you jump to many fences like that where you horse has to work his butt off to skim over jumps he will lose a lot of confidence and may start refusing. You want him to find the jumps easy this early in his career and not cause him to panic by coming up to them with a really weak canter.
