My horses saddle was fitted to him. He doesn’t use a half pad. The only things that go on his back are a quilted regular saddle pad and a saddle. If I start using baby pads on him do I need to invest in a half pad or can I just put the baby pad on him and the saddle over that?
I would use just a baby pad on one of the horses I worked with, but only the ones that were a bit thicker. Like the Centaur brand ones. The real thin ones I prefer to use at least something over the top, but I’m not for sure that it’s actually necessary.
