DOes anyone use their BoT mesh sheet under a turnout sheet? I know they have a turnout sheet that they sell, but this might be a much less expensive option… since I already have the mesh sheet and the TO sheet…
Yes. I use the mesh under sheets or even blankets depending on temperature.
I use the mesh sheet under things all the time. I even have specific sheets, turnout and stable, that only go over it to help keep it cleaner.
Just make sure that it doesn’t pull back and put pressure over the withers. Anything against the coat that is not slippery needs to fit really well and stay well forward of the withers. Check the fit carefully after your horse has been wearing it for a while so you don’t get caught out.

Mine wears his BOT mesh sheet with neck 24 hours (when it’s cool enough weather). I then layer as needed - stable blanket, then for turnout rainsheet, midweight, or heavyweight, all with neck pieces to go over the BOT neck piece.
I’m at the barn nearly every day so I am able to make sure the BOT hasn’t pulled back or shifted, but so far I haven’t had any issues with this.
I do leave it on as a base liner on the horse that it fits well…all the others it is tight in shoulders/withers so they wear them for a few hours.
