Back support

I’ve recently developed lower back pain when I ride and am looking for suggestions for good back braces/ support.

Probably not what you want to hear, but if I were you, instead of a brace, I’d start by looking at the balance of my saddle.

I have a very touchy lower back (arthritis, nerve impingement, etc.) and usually if I start hurting its my saddle, my stirrup length, or something like that. Or I haven’t been sufficiently silliest about my core and stretching exercises.

While I love that autocorrect, I must confess but the same thing happens to me when I haven’t been sufficiently silly about my core! The struggle is real

It could be that, but it started after I didn’t ride for a week due to being out of town. And I was inactive while gone, so could definitely be my core strength. And I’m old, which doesn’t help!

Thats quote the autocorrect! “Diligent” was what I was aiming for!

And yeah, OP, I’m old, too, so I get it.

My lower back becomes terrible if I haven’t been actively engaging my lower deep core muscles (either through riding, yoga, or very targeted exercises). Start working those low abs and think about stretching your spine up out of your pelvis at all times. “walk like a proud dancer”

Sounds silly, but get a pelvic clock and actually use it! No more back pain in the saddle!
