Wondering if anyone else has brought a backpack into the games. The backpack I’d like to bring in is slightly bigger than the bag size limitation (about 2 inches bigger for 2 of the dimensions), particularly when it is full of stuff. How picky is security being about this? I’ve tried to find a smaller packpack but haven’t had any success. Given the amount of walking that I’ll be doing a backpack seems like the best way to go, but I certainly don’t want security to send me on my merry way and have to make a trip back to the hotel.
I have seen a lot of backpacks.

I think as long as it’s close to the listed size you will be fine. They were not measuring bags. I even had some snacks in my backpack and they never said a word about it. Truthfully, the gate attendant just briefly looked inside my backpack and then waved me on in.
