Bandage roller

Is there any such thing as a battery operated bandage roller? I see some strap rollers that are essentially a drill bit to roll straps or bandages with, but I’m looking for something that leaves both hands free to keep the bandages smooth.

I know it doesn’t take long to roll them by hand but

  1. I hate it
  2. I love gagetry
  3. would love to have tight, consistently rolled bandages. Hate it when someone else has rolled & they are not straight, or they are squishy…

Not sure but I bet boxing industry would have something automatic for busy gyms.

Looks like there was/is a product called iWind Electric Bandage Roller that appears electric and maybe wall mounted but I can’t find more info. https://www.rehabedge.com/Products.aspx?ID=241&ID1=Accessories&ID2=240&ID3=Lymphedema

This one is expensive https://www.vitafloor.com/product/roll-up-type-s/

OMG what a GREAT idea that would be. I too hate rolling wraps, but also hate when they’re not done tightly.

This thing looks pretty slick!

Might be too narrow for horse stuff? But pretty cheap, could be worth a shot.

More $$ but def could do horse stuff:

Could something like this be adapted with a drill to power it?

Here’s another manual one:

I have looked at alot of the drill based ones, but I think I want something that will allow me to use both hands to control the tail of the bandage. The $400 one looks great of course. Not sure I can spend that just to get bandages rolled…maybe.
I am not sure about the other motorized one - I can’t see how the bandage attaches, looks more like there is some sort of adhesive on the bandage to make it stay?

But those are the kinds of things i’m looking for…

I think it might be doable to rig up one of the manual ones with a drill if you’re handy. The people wrap rollers have that extra rail to keep tension consistent, which seems like a pretty big improvement over the same sort of manual roller built for horses.

But that people one with the foot pedal for $250 looks pretty slick and maybe not that unreasonably priced if you factor in the cost of the drill itself.
